What is a Synced Transcript?
And what are its benefits?
A synced transcript is more than one which includes timestamps.
The goal of a synced transcript is to be as readable as possible. So it includes as many of the following elements as possible:
Speaker Name
Minute level timestamps (much less noisy than the seconds-long timestamps you see in SRT caption files)
Chapters added as subheadings into the transcript at the appropriate location
Here are some benefits of creating a synced transcript:
• quickly skim through the contents of the video before watching it
• quickly review the contents of the video after watching it
• quickly find what you watched previously
• copy and paste notes while still maintaining the context
